Cape Kidnappers Station

April 2, 2015

On Thursday April 2nd., we participated in a Seal Coast Safari in Wellington New Zealand. It was another beautiful day - although windy the temperature was warm. Judy even left her winter coat in our stateroom and wore just a windbreaker!

On Friday April 3rd, (Good Friday), we arrived at Napier New Zealand. We travelled along the Hawke's Bay coast to Cape Kidnapper's Station where we saw a Gannet colony. Gannets are part of the booby and pelican family. It was fun to watch the juvenile birds practising flapping their wings in preparation for leaving the colony.

Tomorrow we travel to Taurunga - our last full day on the ship.
