Kuto New Caledonia

Woke up just after 6:00 a.m. to sit on our verandah to watch the ship sail into Ile des Pins (Pine Islands), New Caledonia. 

 

It is now 9:30 a.m. And we are anchored just off Kuto. This is an unexpected stop - the ship had to change our itinerary to avoid Cyclone Pam which was in the vicinity of our original port of call.

 

Just walked across the observation deck - WHEW! It is 27 degrees Celsius - tres warm.
