Melbourne Australia

On Tuesday March 24, we stopped at Melbourne Australia.  The locals pronounce the city's name as Mel-Ben.

 

We took a bus ride outside the city to Ballarat Wildlife Park.  As soon as we walked through the gate we encountered kangaroos strolling about.  As we waked on through the park we saw more Roos, koalas, emus, wombats and a Tasmanian devil.  We also got to pet a koala and were amazed at how soft it was.

 

When we left the wildlife park we continued on to Sovereign Hill. This is a recreation of a mining town in the 1800's.  Judy and I took a stagecoach ride through the town.

Now it's on to Hobart Tasmania.
