Hanging out in Noumea (new–may-uh)
Noumea is on the largest of eight islands in New Caledonia. The city has a population of 260,000, mostly Polynesian or as they like to be called Kanak. 25% of the world's nickel is produced here.
The weather was absolutely gorgeous as we toured the city on a trolley.
Now we sail back to Sydney where most of the current passengers will disembark and new folks will join us on the ship for the next two weeks.
